Approvals

Approval exists to make somebody other than the requester look at the spend. Chains define who, at what value, and in what order.

    Define the chain

    By document type and amount band, with ordered steps naming a role or a person. Separation of duties can be enforced so the raiser cannot approve their own request.

    Work the queue

    Pending requests reach the right approvers, with delegation for leave, so absence does not stop the work.
